Completing Your Google Sniper Techniques

The recently released Google Sniper course by George Brown has gotten an excellent critical reception. It provides a start-to-finish system for creating websites to make money online. While Google Sniper works, it does omit teaching one critical area of SEO, but you can fill in that knowledge gap with this article.
With Google Sniper, you pick a keyword without much competition, build content around that keyword, optimize it, and write a review or story to presell your visitors. As mentioned in my Google Sniper review, George goes into a great deal of detail on each of these topics. However, the system revolves around the assumption that your chosen keyword’s level of competition is low enough that you will rank naturally without engaging in any link building.
If you’ve done any internet marketing before, you know it’s usually not that easy to find a perfect keyword. If you make a mistake with the keyword, you’re probably not getting first page of Google, or any sales for that matter.
So how do we fix this problem?
The easiest solution to this issue is to simply build links pointing to your site. However, due to George’s aversion to link building, he only discusses this on a cursory level in Google Sniper. Due to that, I thought it might be a good idea to give you some ideas for link building here.
1. Social Bookmarking: George says most of what needs to be said on these. Don’t make these the foundation of your link building efforts though, most of them are no-follow, so Google doesn’t give them a ton of weight.
2. Link Wheels: This is the process of creating blog posts on various Web 2.0 properties such as Blogger, Weebly, Vox, etc. with links pointing back to your site. They are made into a “wheel” of link juice by linking each property to the next, until finally linking the last property to the first.
3. Profile Links: A lot of sites where you can register a user account will let you post a link to your site. Check out MTV.com and MacUpdate for starters.
4. Blog Commenting: This involves seeking out relevant blogs and posting a comment, using your keywords for your name and placing the page you want to link back to in the URL field. It is important when doing this to actually read the blog post and make an intelligent, relevant comment, otherwise the comment will most likely be deleted.
5. Article Submission: Write quality content and submit it to the best article directories you can find. You can link back to your site at the end of the article in your resource box. Since these articles usually rank quite well by themselves, you’ll find that you get a bit of referral traffic in addition to your backlink.
These 5 techniques provide the backbone of link building, and you can use them to get great Google rankings, even with stiff competition. Now that you know the basics of linkbuilding, you’ve patched the only leak in the Google Sniper system and you’re ready to go. Hurry up and get started building those sniper sites, your internet fortune is waiting!
